Tips for cleaning

1 Use a silver-cleaning solution available from shops selling silver jewellery. Follow instructions given with the solution. Usually the silver is dipped in the solution followed by a dip in clean water and then dried. 2 This face powder (see pic on left) women of past generations used is just the thing to clean your silver jewellery! Use a soft towel to burnish the item and dust off with a toothbrush.Such powder can be purchased from haberdashery stalls in wet markets.
